about ruth ann
Ruth Ann is a Certified Yoga teacher, Medical Exercise Specialist, Personal Trainer, and retreat leader. She has a degree in Exercise Science and over 20 years of experience in the field of fitness and wellness in Central Oregon.
From Ruth Ann:
“I am a woman in her mid-60’s who has discovered through yoga I could learn how my mind, body and spirit all work together to live my most authentic, passionate life. I have had many injuries, surgeries, and have experienced loss. I lived on a virtual “treadmill” for much of my life before I discovered yoga. I wish I had started in my 20’s!
Our bodies are meant to move, twist and bend in all directions with ease. I know that without my yoga practice I wouldn’t have recovered as quickly as I do now and wouldn’t move through life with the ease I now experience.
I am passionate about lifestyle change and love to see the joy in others as they discover they really can do what they thought impossible.
I believe there is a style of yoga for everyone in order to bring life into balance physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and in the process find the truth of who you are.
I experience much of my inspiration from spending time in nature, enjoying kayaking, camping, backpacking, trail running, wildflowers, rivers, lakes and oceans, yoga, cooking and reading and spending time with my family.”
