Resources for Tweens and Teens with Scoliosis

Scoliosis doesn’t have to be a big deal. At your appointment, Lisa will work to answer all your questions – and your parents’ questions too – so you can feel confident in where you are headed. Here are some other scoliosis resources to learn more:

  • Here’s an article from the New York Times about some kids (and adults) who did the Schroth method
  • The Curvy Girls group:  This awesome group is organized by other kids (mostly girls) to help you deal with questions about clothes, school, treatment, relationships, bracing, and anything else you might want to ask. There are chapters in Salem and Portland, but not one here yet. Would you like to start one? Ask Lisa to help!
  • Straight Talk with the Curvy Girls” – a book written by the leaders of Curvy Girls, this is a great resource for you to learn more. Talk to Lisa or click the link if you want to order one.
  • Do you have another question you want answered here? Lisa wants to know! Email her and she’ll be happy to help!
